The ducks(Lesser Whistling Duck) at Botanic Gardens always amuse me as i always get difference shots of them during difference visits. Some information on them: They are the only duck that breed in Singapore and they prefer to breed in freshwater with dense vegetation nearby where their chicks can immediately reach the water after hatching.
There are less then 200 of them in Singapore and is listed as endangered due to the natural habitat lost but fortunately
, they breed in man-made habitat such as the botanic gardens. Another place that spotting have been reported is at route 3, Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve, sadly I have not seen a single one at Sungei Buloh after walking a long distance!
The stare by the Duck!
