Sea hibiscus (hibiscus tiliaceus)

Sea hibiscus, originally uploaded by brandon Chia.

The sea hibiscus (hibiscus tiliaceus), also known as the one day flower. I manage to get this shot early morning at Sungei Buloh.

The flower of the hibiscus tiliaceus will bloom, bright yellow, about 10 am or when the sun is up. And the colour will start to change during late afternoon, and will turn maroon colour.

Some quick fact about this tree:

* the leaves are boil in water and serve as tea to relive cough and fever. And also shared my one of the guides , the leaves are pound into coconut oil and apply to the scalp to prevent hair loss. :)
